Chicken Broth Rice

 Time: 20 minutes

Appliances/Tools Needed

  • Rice Cooker (or pot)


Ingredients

  • 2 cups white rice (4 servings, 1 cup of rice for 2 servings)

  • Chicken stock (every 1 cup of rice = 2 cups of chicken stock)

  • 2 whole bay leaves


Directions

Rice Cooker: 

  • Add 2 cups of dry white rice

  • Add 4 cups of chicken stock

  • Add 2 whole bay leaves on top

  • Select white rice option on rice cooker

  • Throw bay leaves out when complete


Stovetop:

  1. Add 2 cups of dry white rice into pan

  2. Add 4 cups of chicken stock

  3. Add 2 whole bay leaves on top

  4. Cook on medium/high heat

  5. Once chicken stock is boiling, turn down to medium heat and cover until all liquid is soaked up

  6. Throw out bay leaves when complete


Pair this side dish with chicken, pasta, etc.

Use beef stock instead of chicken broth to enjoy with steak.

Rice can also be added to burritos, bowls, and soups.
